We are seeking applicants for a North America PM/CM Leader in the US to develop and grow the Program Management Practice for our business in Canada and the USA and be a key leader contributing to the growth of the overall water practice. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Overseeing existing programs across North America
- Developing company tools and systems to support the practice
- Developing future program managers through deployment into existing programs across the company
- Engaging with clients to develop their program management needs
- Developing strategies to secure program management assignments for the Company
- Engaging with partners, sub consultants as necessary following Winning Work principles
- Serve as the initial Program Manager and build in succession plans as required
- Collaborate with the Water Market Leaders, Business Group Leaders and others across the organization developing new business
- Work in coordination with PMO and Engineering Design Office to develop procedures and skills to support program growth
- Represent GHD at key professional association events
- Build the Program Management core team and bench
- Support programs outside N America or lead capital improvement programs that require multiple business units to work in concert (as required)
What you will bring to the team:
- Experience in developing program scopes, schedules and budgets including establishment of project controls, quality plans and other critical program management components
- Strong Risk Management expertise
- Previous experience acting in the capacity of Program Manager for municipal water clients
- Must be able to work on multiple assignments simultaneously; and have strong organizational, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Experience developing and applying earned value management as project tracking and implementation tool.
- Experience implementing web based program management information systems
- Ability to collaborate across the business and integrate Advisory and Digital capabilities
- Strong commercial acumen with regards to contract negotiation and agreement
- Ability to manage relationships with multiple public clients at senior leadership levels
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Construction
- Must have 25+ years experience with major programs across North America with Capital Budgets exceeding $500 M USD
- PMI certified Program Management Professional (PgMP)
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) from CMAA
- Professional Engineering qualification a plus
