Program Specialist -Art Studio Day Program
Center for Creative Works (CCW), a licensed, vocational training, Progressive Art Studio day program, seeks a full time, management level Program Specialist to work in our studio arts program with talented and dedicated artists with intellectual disabilities. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference working with a highly creative team building identities and vocations in the arts for our participants. CCW is a nationally recognized professional arts program developing and promoting aspiring and established neurodiverse artists. CCW's program specialists engage people in their pursuit of a vocation and vocational skills to through professionally expanding their creative skills, building relationships with peers, working on community engagement, and contributing as artists in their communities and beyond. This studio is located in Wynnewood PA, just outside of Philadelphia, a ten minute walk from a Septa regional rail station. We are a caring, tight team and will make you feel welcome and supported!

CCW is a progressive art studio with a focus on the professional development and representation of neurodiverse artists. CCW supports our artists to gain social capital and visibility through their artistic practice.

The Program Specialist at CCW works within the PA ODP regulations for a 2390 program and is responsible for corresponding documentation for all individuals you are working with. You will help people identify their talents and passions and work with the larger team to create yearly plans and goals for your individuals. The work is a good balance of hands on working with people as well as time focused on documentation and strategizing with a broad team.

Essential Job Duties:
- Oversee the quality of programmatic plans, community access, volunteer opportunities, work experiences, and necessary services and supports that are provided meet the participants’ needs and preferences.
- Create, review and implement individual outcomes and action steps to monitor participant progress and all other documentation in respect to the 2390 regulations.
- Assist participants in determining what outcomes, volunteer opportunities, work experiences would meet their needs and/or preferences.
- work with a team to troubleshoot behavior challenges.
- Attend and document ISP meetings, and ISP reviews along with SC. monitor annual ISP progress for all participants. Ensure all ISP’s are accurate and person-centered.
- Review service notes and additional data sheets if applicable daily.
- Maintain open communication with individuals, families and other team members.
- Demonstrate strong professionalism, organizational, leadership and time management skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
- Ability to engage clients in effective, therapeutic and healthy interactions.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to establish priorities, coordinate work activities, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, open fast-paced work environment.
Qualifications: Any one of the following sets of criteria - if you are not sure if your qualifications apply, please reach out to us. We'll take a look at it for you.
- Master's degree or above from an accredited college or university, preferably in: Special Education, Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or other human services field. OR
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in: Special Education, Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or other human services field; and 1 year experience working directly with disabled persons. OR
- Associate's degree or completion of a 2-year program from an accredited college or university, preferably in:Special Education, Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation or other human services field; and 3 years experience working directly with disabled persons. OR
- License or certification by the State Board of Nurse Examiners, the State Board of Physical Therapists Examiners, or the Committee on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification or be a licensed psychologist or registered occupational therapist; and 1 year experience working directly with disabled persons.
