Project Estimator

Hamilton Construction Co. is a heavy civil construction company with operations and jobsites throughout the West. We are a general contractor that self performs bridge and structure work including pile driving, shoring, concrete placement, and steel erection. We are currently looking to fill the position of Project Estimator to work in our Coburg, Oregon corporate office.

This full time position will involve the following activities, tasks, and responsibilities:

· Develop quantity take-offs

· Solicit, coordinate, and analyze various subcontractor and supplier bid packages

· Prepare detailed cost estimates using HCSS HeavyBid

· Analyze project documents including specifications and plans

· Research cost history, production rates, and industry trends

· Participate in client initiated pre-bid meetings

· Prepare and review written content for SOQs and RFPs

· Work with the estimating team to successfully procure work

We are searching for an individual who meets the following requirements to join our team:

· 10 + years’ experience working in the field as a Project Engineer, Project Superintendent or Project Manager

· A strong understanding of field operations with aptitude for building complex projects

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying work hours and deadlines

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Attention to detail, organizational skills, and proactive work style

· Ability to manage various priorities and communicate with team as new priorities and deadlines arise

· Ability to access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments

· Familiarity with HeavyBid and P6 preferred but not required

· Ability to obtain necessary eRail Safe and BNSF Contractor credentials

· Valid driver’s license

Pay: $60,548.67 - $72,918.83 per year
