In this role, you will prepare subcontract packaging estimates that include labor and material costs. Formal project quotations will be completed, while supporting the customer service and sales team. Vendor research will be performed to secure competitive pricing. This position will work closely with the production team; establishing knowledge of equipment capabilities, completing detailed work instructions, performing time studies, while aligning costs to ensure consistent profitability. Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Compute cost factors and prepare estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work; preparing bids; selecting vendors or subcontractors; and determine cost effectiveness. Work with Purchasing to research material items needed for customer quotations, to secure the lowest cost solution for our customers. Effectively communicate with the customers and production work floor to resolve account concerns such as shipping discrepancies, transportation requirements, quality issues and turnaround times.
Qualifications: 2-5 years’ experience in manufacturing and cost accounting. Estimating experience in a manufacturing setting preferred· Experienced in Excel. (Spreadsheet Navigation) Navision and other ERP platforms experience Ability to problem solve and adapt to changed schedules Highly effective communicator, critical thinker, and independent worker. Ability to travel and work in multiple locations as needed.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
