Position: Resource Coordinator
Location: Community
Pay: Starts at $18.50
Bonus: $500 at 90 days and $500 at successful grant completion
Position Summary
- Project Hope offers comprehensive services and supports to individuals residing in Charlotte and Desoto counties who were impacted by Hurricane Ian with improving access to trauma response services as well as access to available community resources.
- Provides linkages to needed resources to individuals and families in the community impacted by Hurricane Ian.
- Works as part of a team providing community based services working with individuals and families impacted by the storm.
- Facilitates entry on behalf of the disaster response program into local communities and works with community organizations.
- May serve as a cultural broker and as liaison between the program and a cultural group.
- Provides intensive resource linkage for survivors struggling to access disaster relief assistance.
- Works with individuals, families, and groups to provide outreach, emotional support, individual and group crisis outreach, public education, and referrals when needed.
- Assists in the coordination of events, activities, and branding related to the promotion of the program.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with representatives of business, community, media, public interest, and school groups.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Case Management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of/experience with community resources and how to access them.
- Experience living through a natural disaster preferred.
- Ability to use a computer
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in collaboration with other community partners.
- Ability to manage stressful situations and display appropriate work demeanor and boundaries.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide disaster relief support/referral assistance to those who have survived a Hurricane.
- Valid FL drivers' license, insurance, and safe driving record.
- Dependable transportation (registered, safe operating conditions, etc.)
- Ability to pass a level II Background clearance and drug test.
