About the role
  • The purpose of this position is responsibility for design and construction project management services within an assigned geographic market, program or client account to achieve the company's strategic business objectives. Key project delivery focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk management.
  • This position focuses on a federal client account.
What you’ll do
  • Conduct periodic site visits to monitor the progress of design and construction, review status of work completed during the period covered, review that work is generally proceeding in a good and workmanlike manner and in general accordance with the approved drawings and specifications.
  • Review contractors’ direct cost payment requisitions and budget status, review of subcontracts, bonds/subcontractor default insurance, review of change orders, review of Developer’s monthly Job Cost Reports, opine on adequacy of contingency, review of design and construction and disbursement schedules, review of lien waiver and other documentation submitted by the Developer.
  • Manages and leads project management staff in the market and ensures thorough staff understanding and implementation of operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Formally supervises individual employees and/or subordinate supervisors. Responsible for identifying tracking performance, mentoring, training needs, and motivating direct reports.
  • Directly or indirectly responsible for hiring, terminating, compensation, and performance evaluation for direct reports and work group.
  • Perform training, ongoing mentoring and direct management of a group of staff members including review of work, overview of workloads and preparation of performance evaluations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum ten or more years’ experience in owner representation, construction claims, construction administration, architecture, engineering, or similar experience, and three of these years should be in a managerial capacity.
  • A PMP certification is preferred
  • Knowledge of MS Project and AutoCAD is preferred
