Job description
This is a full-time position in Alexandria, VA. This position may also be remote.
- Overall responsibility for functional, technical, and personnel aspects of Federal government IT consulting and software development projects.
- Develop tailored project plans and update roadmaps to proactively plan project tasks and schedule resources for timely delivery of contract requirements.
- Supervise diverse teams of staff and subcontractors and oversee day-to-day activities to ensure performance in accordance with contract requirements.
- Manage day-to-day client relationships, communications and represent at client progress meetings and briefings.
- Interface with client project stakeholders across VA and work with client to manage external stakeholder relationships.
- Prepare progress reports, presentations and client briefings.
- Oversee and ensure the quality of project activities and work product and approve and submit all client deliverables.
- Work with client to gather, manage, and prioritize development requirements.
- Establish and maintain project issue and risk management plans.
- Establish and oversee an overall project governance structure.
- Support client growth initiatives by identifying additional opportunities and scoping/responding to follow-on tasks.
- 5-10 years of experience in project management, leading a project of similar size and scope.
- BA/BS Degree Required.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience managing software projects using Jira or similar tools.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to define, collect, and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make logical decisions.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and manage internal and external relationships at all levels within an organization while possessing diplomacy and cooperative style necessary to work effectively with diverse individuals across functional disciplines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Ability to work in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
- Experience with CRM systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Salesforce.
- PM certification (PMP, Agile, CSM).
