Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for scheduling, work coordination, and managing all on-site construction activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for all scheduling and work coordination between shop and erector, and manage all on site work activities.
• Prepare and maintain a detailed schedule for drawing approvals, shop issues, buy outs and erection.
• Responsible for tracking all payments, change orders, and back charges.
• Assure that all technical submittals are made by the Project Coordinator.
• Review detailing and vendor submittals.
• Ensure all Requests for Information are answered in a timely manner.
• Responsible for following all aspects of specifications. Must follow up on extra work items.
• Responsible for all issues involving erection.
• Act as primary contact with the customer.
• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required. Minimum of 3 years of experience with steel fabrication and erection. Must be familiar with AISC and OSHA requirements. Must be detail oriented. Must have excellent oral/written communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.

Physical Demands

Some overtime required to meet deadlines. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds occasionally. Requires long periods of sitting. Must be able to travel to off-site jobs. All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
