Ford Construction Company is seeking a Project Manager/CPM Scheduler for its bridge division to assist in general project management, bid estimates, and project scheduling utilizing Primavera. Pay will be commensurate with experience.

From its beginnings, the company has been an industry leader in asphalt manufacturing, asphalt paving, bridge construction, site preparation, grading, excavating, highway and heavy construction services, and aggregates sales in the West Tennessee area. We are helping to build West Tennessee.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction science required
· 0-5 years of project management preferred
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with general computer programs
· Skills required:
- Good communication skills both within company and with subcontractor and TDOT representatives
- Macro management skills
- Strong time management skills
Job responsibilities
This position will include three main activities among others:
· Assist with bid estimates on proposed jobs
- Pre-bid site visits to research location
- Research and pre-plan material deliveries
- Read and interpret blueprints
· Project management
- Obtain necessary permits and regulations
- Work with subcontractors to obtain material certifications
- Order materials and schedule delivery
- Work with subcontractors regarding their approved work
- Communicate with foremen, division heads, and upper management
- Manage borrow/waste pits
- Adhere to SWPPPs
· CPM Scheduling
- Utilize Primavera for project scheduling
- Monthly updates to schedule
- Attend monthly progress meetings
This is an exempt position. General hours of operation are Monday through Friday starting at 6 am. This is an “in-person” position to be performed primarily at the Dyersburg asphalt plant office located in Dyersburg, TN. The position will require some travel to jobsites and preconstruction meetings in the West Tennessee area.
Compensation and Benefits
