Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (www.pharmacy.unc.edu) is one of five health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. Position Summary
Megan Roberts from the Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is seeking a project manager with experience in implementation science. This position is for a project manager to fulfill an opening on 1) a DOD-funded project focused on adapting and evaluating a model for genetic testing in individuals with familial hypercholesterolemia and their families, and 2) an R21 to evaluate the implementation of the Precision Health Genetic Test pilot at UNC. All projects have a focus on implementation science and include dynamic and multi-methods-focused research teams. We are seeking an individual who has: demonstrated interest or experience working on implementation science related projects; the ability to prepare agendas for and lead research team meetings; the ability to maintain IRB submissions, DUAs and subcontracts, project budgets, and study progress reports; the ability to proactively move project goals forward; strong communication and organizational skills.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Project management/project coordination with the ability to meet deadlines and work on many projects simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to manage research data collection; writing, editing and oral presentation skills; research and electronic communications skills, including use of the Internet and databases.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
At least three years’ experience in which the candidate directed or managed a research project.
Experience as a project manager at UNC. Experience using UNC systems, including IRB, CRMS, REDCap and working with UNC offices/organizations such as OCT and OSR. Previous experience with grant-funded studies.
