Job description
Catapult Learning is seeking a part-time, school nurse to work in at St. Phillip's School in Clifton, NJ for 5 days/wk, 25 hrs/wk. Candidates must have an active NJ RN License. The ideal candidate will have experience with pediatric patients. Compensation $30-35/hr. This position is for the remainder of the '23 school year and will continue into the '23-24 school year.

School Nurse Job Duties:
- Conduct COVID contact tracing and reporting; promote and educate on company/school policies with regard to COVID
- Review immunization records for school age children
- Assist with Medical/Dental Screenings
- Prepare and file state reports as required by law
- Conduct audiometric, scoliosis, vision, and height and weight screenings
- Provide other optional screenings as needed, ex. Blood Pressure, Lice
- Maintain student health records
- Administer medication and/or treatment when necessary for pupils to attend school
- Provide first aid and emergency care to all school age children
- Provide the following services as promulgated by individual State Law/Regulation:
- Notify parent/guardian if a screening defect is found upon screening and recommend appropriate follow-up
- Observe and recommend to principal, exclusion of students who show evidence of communicable diseases and/or whose immunization records are not received from parent/guardian after numerous attempts.
- Submit monthly report of health services and screenings performed to Catapult Learning Area Manager
- Other duties may be assigned
School Nurse Requirements:
- Current Valid NJ RN License
- Experience with children/school-aged students in a school setting or pediatrics experience preferred but not required
- Current Basic Life Support CPR - Professional Rescuer or Healthcare Provider card
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards students, administration, parents, and other internal and external customers
