Purchasing & Service Coordinator for Closet Factory - Portland, OR

Closet Factory, is the Custom Storage Solution Authority, serving the need for custom space organization throughout the home. We design, build and install custom closets, home offices, garages, home theaters, pantries, bookshelves, wall beds and more. We have been in business for over 24 years, serving Portland, Eugene, Bend and SW Washington. We have experienced substantial, long-term growth and as a result are searching to add a Purchasing & Service Coordinator role to our close-knit team of people to manufacture and install our products. You will be an integral member of our team to help develop plans for the future. You must be able to identify areas of concern and develop processes and procedures to aid in our growth and the long-term health of the business.

Responsibilities:

• Use company software and supplier software to place and track all orders with the ability to implement new processes to aid purchasing
• Check in all deliveries and organize all the products to ensure that the products get with the correct job.
• Establish and maintain inventory levels of stocked items.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing to ensure all special orders are identified and ordered on time for manufacturing and installation.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships and sources and specify new materials consistent with production and business needs.
• Become familiar with the materials, cost drivers and market conditions for the business.
• Assist in reporting cost change and product specifications to management.
• Manage obsolete/rejected materials.
• Speak with customers when needed about material delays or other issues.

Qualifications:

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
