JOB DESCRIPTION

• Analyze purchasing performance based on assigned annual spend, drive optimization on purchasing strategies to optimize annual spend level.
• Manage supplier contracts, conduct contract reviews on terms, pricing based on overall supplier performance index, negotiate and re-negotiate contracts with Suppliers to ensure competitive on cost and terms.
• Manage relationship with suppliers, develop, modify and manage Supplier KPI and scorecard, lead supplier audits to drive improvement on supplier performance.
• Perform functional analysis on market condition, supply trend, demand trend, pricing index to identify bottleneck and improvement opportunities, further mitigate risk and drive cost saving initiatives.
• Provide guidance and hands-on support to procurement team on sourcing, procurement and category strategies; ensure the company purchase cost effective ingredients for the assigned categories;
• Work closely with Supply Chain, Plant level management, R&D, Sales & Marketing to manage supply inventory, collect data concerning purchasing process to identify potential risk, bottleneck, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective action to drive process improvement on procurement, standardize purchasing process across company.
• Support new product development with Sales, Marketing and R&D, lead strategic sourcing for new suppliers, new commodities and support full cycle of new suppliers on-boarding to ensure compliance of corporate policy and quality regulation.
• Ensure smooth transition and processes on assigned categories, contracts and new suppliers to plant level, travel to R&D Facilities, Regional Plants, Suppliers and Customers as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
• 5+ years of recent experience as Strategic Sourcing Supervisor, Procurement Supervisor, Commodity Supervisor or Category Supervisor within manufacturing industry.
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills; excellent communication and people skills.
• SAP Experience Preferred
