Job Title: Purchasing Clerk
Reports to: Purchasing Agent/Manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 2 years of data entry related experience; or demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the below-mentioned tasks.
- Plumbing knowledge or ability to learn quickly
- Prior product familiarization/knowledge.
Summary: The Purchasing Clerk compiles requests for materials, prepares purchase orders, keeps track of purchases and supplies, and handles inquiries about orders. The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for administrative and clerical support to the Purchasing department and organization.
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adheres to purchasing policies, processes and procedures.
- Compile material requests
- Create and prepare purchase orders
- Organization and recordkeeping of purchases and supplies; entry into company systems
- Carries out warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures.
- Contributes to processes and procedures to coordinate product deliveries.
- Performs related work as required or assigned by the Controller
COMPETENCIES:

- Up to date on current technologies and with modern workplace trends.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Troubleshooting and problem resolution ability.
- Self-starter who can work through assignments with very little supervision.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
POSITION TYPE:
This is a non-exempt, full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm
