Starting Pay: $16.06/hour

General Description: Regular, full time position working day shift, Monday through Friday and other days and shifts as required and based upon the needs of the agency. This position is responsible for analyzing records management information, addressing issues before they occur, and effectively correcting them as they arise. This position is also responsible for ensuring that records data adheres to agency’s standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Reviews incident information received from law enforcement and other agency personnel.
  • Ensures that report data meets agency standards after supervisor approval.
  • Detects potential issues and communicates corrections for prevention of future errors.
  • Adheres and enforces quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Ensures deputies and detectives receive effective training on the agency’s records management system.
  • Ensures proper field completion for UCR/IBR submission.
  • Conducts global jacket consolidations.
  • Completes special assignments as directed
  • All Citrus County Sheriff’s Office employees are considered ‘essential workers’ and are subject to working in any capacity/hours deemed necessary by the Agency during activations, including but not limited to, in-County and out-of-County deployments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve efficiently.
  • Strong computer skills to complete, update, and submit required reports and documents.
  • Possess public speaking skills to clearly and confidently articulate information during training, SEI, and briefings as needed.
  • Must uphold the highest level of professionalism, values, and work ethic.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent certification of competency.
  • Two years of secretarial or clerical education or experience, preferably in a Law Enforcement setting, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess proficient computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize duties.

Physical Demands:

  • Must have the ability to sit at a computer desk for extended periods of time.
  • Repetitive hand movements and dexterity.
  • Near and far vision.
  • Hearing acuity.

Requirements:

  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or GED.
