Quality Lead-Nights

Decas Cranberry is seeking an experience Quality Lead to join our team!!

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday evenings

The Lead Quality Assurance Technicians responsibility is to support Quality Assurance functions relating to the business. Must have excellent time management skills, function proactively and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. These time-sensitive duties must be performed with accuracy, attention to detail, organization and in an efficient manner consistent with company goals and objectives.

What you'll be doing:

• Performs special analytical testing as necessary.
• Supports and backs-up the lab and quality technicians.
• Fills sample requests for customers and outside labs.
• Arranges testing based on customer specifications and manages associated documentation.
• Records and manages micro results received. Generates appropriate Certificates of Analysis and disseminates information as requested.
• Monitors the On-Hold process and creates resulting inventory adjustments.
• Manages audit programs with the knowledge and ability to make corrective actions.
• Oversee all lab administrative duties such as record keeping, documentation, and data collection, as required. Oversee and ensure all production quality, safety and operational records are maintained accurately and completely.
• Keep the plant and documents prepared for audits at all times.
• Keep the lab stocked with supplies. Contact vendors to order supplies and issue PO’s.
• Provide a strong presence on the floor to assure compliance to process controls and to support operations.
• Assist and train lab and operation employees on all aspects of Quality and Food Safety.

What you bring to the table:

• HACCP / Internal Auditing Certified (preferred)
• Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.
