*Summary of Function:

  • Basically, the QA Manager is responsible for ensuring incoming material, work-in-process, outgoing manufactured products of automobile components meet set standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
  • The QA Manager acts as a catalyst for continuous improvement in all plant activities. They are responsible for driving an ongoing failure prevention mindset utilizing key quality planning processes / tools supporting both proactive and reactive activity as required, developing and facilitating continuous improvement activities with the overall goal of complete customer satisfaction and streamlined efficient manufacturing processes.
  • Also, the QA Manager develops the long-term sustainable practices to maintain superior quality process.

*Principle Responsibilities:

  • Assure/implement internal/external quality requirements to ensure products/services meet customer/Internal specification/expectations.
  • Overseeing/analyzing the quality processes of incoming inspection, in-process inspection, outgoing inspection, gage calibration, material & component nonconformance, production process nonconformance and after delivery nonconformance.
  • Ensure the quality of product delivered to customers meet design intent. Ensure that quality teams are trained, qualified, capable, and have the necessary tools and process to conduct the outgoing audit process.
  • Ensure that the quality of product purchased from suppliers meets the design intent. Ensure that auditing personnel are trained, qualified, capable, and have necessary tools and process to conduct the incoming product audit process.
  • Review and approve requested temporary deviations.
  • Coordinate/manage Daily Quality Audits
  • Coordinate/prepare the report for Quality Management Reviews
  • Main communication window to customer for the quality topics.
  • Developing the long-term sustainable practices to maintain superior quality process.

*Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred), or Science, Mathematics, or other related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in quality control at a manufacturing company required.
  • Experience in an chemical manufacturing company strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry-appropriate method, such as quality planning, measuring dimensions (MSA, Gauge R&R, etc), problem solving (Six sigma, 3L5Y, Red-X, etc) and examining functionality.
  • Analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Overtime expected and required on short notice, with flexibility based on plant production schedules.
  • Proficient with personal computer operation.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

*Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to lift up to 25 pounds to move objects is required. Must possess strength, stamina, and mobility to perform low physical work indoors with minimum exposure to dust. Walking, lifting, reaching, stooping, standing, grasping, balancing, climb, kneeling, and crouching are generally required for some assignments.
  • Demonstrate the ability to hear and have specific vision abilities to adjust focus, in an environment subject to noise, dust, etc.
  • The office is located inside the plant with equipment noise and frequent interruptions such as phone calls and contact with staffs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Killeen, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
