Job description

This job description applies to all activities and guidelines for operations performed by the Quality Assurance Supervisor for ensuring that product meets the established Standards of Quality including Reliability, Usability and Performance required for distribution to Lufkin’s Internal and External Customers.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate in the development of local QMS documentation.
  • Interpret and implement Quality Assurance Standards and Procedures.
  • Review the implementation and effectivity of Quality and Inspection Systems.
  • Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data.
  • Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of supplied materials and products to ensure finished component / product quality.
  • Plan and coordinate Internal Surveillance Audits and preparation for Certification Audits.
  • Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Organize necessary filing and archiving of technical documents.
  • Investigate Customer Complaints and Non-conformance Issues.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for continual improvement of the Quality System.
  • Develop, recommend, and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions.
  • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
  • Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards.
  • Organize all Data and Document Control deliverables and activities as defined by requirements for ISO and API and monitor the timely delivery of these deliverables
  • Identify and monitor risk management activities.
  • Help organize, develop & lead the Quality Management Review (QMR).
  • Lead / participate in Internal Quality Management System Audits according to the Internal Audits annual plan and with the preparation / communication of the Internal Audit Report.
  • Ensures control the Quality Management System documentation and data integrity.
  • Coordinates and interacts with internal departments and external parties such as consultants and regulatory authorities on quality matters.
  • Actively participate in all activities and processes related to this position, according to the Quality Management System.
  • Respect the company's code of ethics.
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:

Regardless of other duties, the Quality Assurance Supervisor has a responsibility to follow LUFKIN Production, Safety, and Quality Procedures.

  • REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education and Training: Technical degree or equivalent or as deemed sufficient by management.
  • Technical Requirements: Computer literate; Knowledge of common types of measurement and monitoring equipment; Relevant experience with implementing Regulatory compliance requirements in the industrial sector.
  • Key Competencies: Leadership skills; Attention to detail; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Data management and analysis; Use of problem-solving methodologies; Planning and organizing; Sound judgement; Decision-making skills; Customer service orientation; Effective interaction with stakeholders; Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Experience: At least 5 years work experience in similar role, or as deemed sufficient by management.
  • The Quality Assurance Supervisor will have the opportunity to be promoted to the Quality Manager position after he/she has demonstrated the technical skills and leadership qualities required for this critical position.
