Job description

· Monitor processing and packaging quality performance against standards to ensure 1sttime quality of the daily production operations.

· Follow the seven principles of HACCP.

· Notify management of any production, safety, quality or environmental concerns within the facility.

· Track all products in process on production and packaging lines, and ensure Quality Assurance requirements are met.

· Continuously promote quality awareness.

· Work with all other departments to ensure good communication and teamwork.

· Manage daily activities to meet scheduled requirements.

· Understand and follow GMP rules.

· Conduct routine department activities and assist QA Supervisor in controlling those activities.

· Ensure all products are produced to DFF’s quality standards.

· Create a teamwork environment within the production facility.

· Participate in training and special projects.

· Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

· Participate in weekly/monthly meetings and make recommendation to management for continued improvements.

· Conduct Quality Testing on products according to DFF’s policies and procedures.

Additional

· Review and report to the Quality Assurance Supervisor suggestions for modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

· Communicate quality assurance, materials control, human resources, safety, and maintenance issues to the QA Supervisor.

· Satisfactorily meet attendance standards.

· Create an atmosphere of support for management.

· Encourage open expression of ideas and opinions from all team members.

· Maintain good personal hygiene, follow GMP’s and maintain a clean, safe and sanitary workplace. Immediately report any situation that may cause product to be contaminated or compromised.

· Comply with plant security by ensuring that doors are locked and closed behind you. Report any suspicious activities to your Supervisor immediately. Enter only through the main reception area or other controlled entrances using the company issued Key FOB. The FOB shall not be lent to another person. In the event a key FOB is lost, report to Supervisor and/or Human Resources immediately.

· Complete other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.50 per hour
