Precipart, located in Farmingdale, New York, is looking for a skilled and experienced Quality Control Inspector with strong mechanical inspection experience to join our talented team of Inspectors. In this position, you will use a variety of inspection tools and equipment to inspect complex, precision custom components produced for our customers in the medical device, aerospace and commercial markets. Responsibilities:

• Perform First Piece, In-process and Final inspection
• Preparing acceptance / rejection documentation
• Identify problems that cause variations to the standard part
• Analyze quality trends
• Collect supporting data and present these findings to management
• Operate a CMM
• Calibrate measuring devices

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience working in a machine shop environment
• Must be able to read mechanical parts blueprints
• Good understanding of GD&T
• Able to inspect to tolerance of +/-.0002
• Must have good mathematical ability (i.e. geometry, trigonometry)
• Must be able to work independently, methodically and meet deadlines
• Must have excellent attention to detail
• Must be able to remain focused while performing high volume of inspections
• Must be reliable
