Plasman, Cleveland Manufacturing - 3000 West 121st Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44111 is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as:
Quality Coordinator
Reporting to the Supervisor, the Quality Coordinator is responsible for:
- Provide support and assistance to the Quality Manager/Quality Engineer/Quality Supervisor (where applicable) in performance testing required for PPAP submissions or other launch activities.
- Maintain quarantine area, lab equipment and lab files as directed by the Quality Supervisor or Quality Engineer.
- Review Customer returns and retain samples to be used to retrain unloaders and inspectors.
- Insure material to be placed on hold is correctly identified and place in the correct hold area.
- Create various quality reports, charts/graphs and all documentation related to packaging, processing, identification and control of product.
- Gather and/or analyze data for Continual Improvement activities and the reduction or rejects.
- Assists in the training of all team members involved in activities with a quality component.
- Provide support for issues related to mold defects that are being found on the line. Verify that the defect is truly a mold defect. If confirmed capture mold date in use at the time fall out rate. Report that information to Quality management, Material management. Support production in finding a new material lot. Retain defective parts and begin the process of contacting the customer/vendor. In some cases the customer is also the molder and they need to be contacted to establish their reaction plan, which can be to continue to run in spite of the defect.
- Perform receiving, first-off, in process, rework, containment and final inspections or dock audits as required. Audit finished good after final and inspection and in the warehouse inventory. Report finding to management
- Recommend and participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
- Promote an atmosphere of teamwork at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Work in compliance with the Quality and Business Operating Systems and all health and safety and environmental legislation.
- Completion of any other duties as assigned.
- Abide by Company Value Statement and the Company Standard Code of Conduct
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic math skills required.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
