As our client’s Quality Engineer, you will ensure that quality standards of the company are met, from raw material inspection to the manufacturing/shipment of products. You will lead quality improvement projects and act as a resource to the Managers and Leaders to determine and validate corrective and preventative measures needed to continually improve manufacturing process. You will handle customer complaints, supervise the quality department which consists of 3 hourly employees, and assist with audits. In addition, you will rework products as necessary and document control and control plans. This role will expose you to many different departments and areas providing an optimum opportunity for growth within the organization. About You
· Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Engineering preferred
· 2+ years’ work experience in a Quality job role
· Experience in the development of PFMEA and Control Plans preferred.
· Experience with Lean and Six Sigma Process (Six Sigma Green Belt training) preferred
· Strong knowledge of prints reading tolerance stack-up (GD&T) and Gage R&R
· Experience with Steel material testing process preferred
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Statistical Analysis programs are a plus)
· Experience with an ERP system; ability to easily extract data (Oracle preferred)
· Experience with ISO: 9001preferred
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent analytical skills, good logical skills and highly detail-oriented
