HireLevel is looking for a Quality Specialist in Du Quoin, IL!

The Quality Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support to all areas of the Quality Assurance Department, including collecting, compiling, and maintaining test report data.

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Du Quoin, IL

Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:00am – 4:30pm

Compensation: $24/hr.

Responsibilities of Quality Specialist:

• Maintains files for production orders, both in-process and Certified Test Reports (CTR’s).
• Evaluates data and documents deviations from existing standards and submits deviations for customer approval.
• Maintains database for non-conformance tags and prepares weekly non-conformance tags report for distribution. Also responsible for managing the non-conforming material area and performing weekly housekeeping audits of the area
• Assists the Quality Coordinator in scheduling/managing the ISO 9001:2008 Internal Audit program.
• Prepares CTR’s for customers who receive CTR’s prior to or after cable shipment by copying, logging, and mailing and/or e-mailing CTR’s to customers

Requirements of Quality Specialist:

• 3 – 5 years related manufacturing experience, preferably in Quality Assurance.
• Must have good attention to details, but be able to manage the big picture and have a “make the numbers” mentality
• Must be able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a daily basis.
• Solid planning, leadership, and administrative skills.

Education:

• Prefer Associate Degree in Business or related technical area.
• Certification by ASQ as a Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI), Certified Quality Technician (CQT) and/or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) is desirable but not required.
