Job description
The Quality Engineering Specialist is a dynamic, engineer with a passion for process improvement. The QES works with quality, operations, program management, sales, data governance, etc. in a supporting role to deliver superior quality performance.
The position will focus on activities that promote quality performance improvement, business profitability, efficiency, strengthened relationships through resolution of issues, process improvements, and compliance activities to relevant standards.
The ideal candidate has a history of success interacting with multiple functions of an organization in a quality capacity; has general knowledge of quality systems and automotive requirements; can demonstrate success in managing cross functional operational initiatives to support quality performance goals. Fastener and/or distribution experience is highly preferred.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform internal audits in Distribution Environment (LPA, Cycle, Safety, Product and Process) • Verify material identification through measurement and analysis. • Inspect/verify parts as needed. • Support the operations team in identifying materials. • Manage sorts, reworks, and interact with companies that provide such services. • Support Non-conforming Material investigations and Corrective Actions • Understand and follow customer specific quality systems and procedures. • Understand and comply with QMS policies and procedures
  • Support consistent implementation, auditing, compliance and evaluation of company operating processes, procedures, forms, manuals, and tools. • Exhibit proficient interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal cross functional teams regarding technical and business matters at a level appropriate for the audience. • Ensure timely disposition of nonconforming product. • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing a variety of requests to improve performance and exploring opportunities to add value. • Other duties as assigned
