Grundfos is seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join its Quality Systems Team. The Quality Technician will be responsible to apply a well-developed quality knowledge base and technical/business understanding across a functional area. Overall responsibility of the Quality Returns Cage, inclusive of reporting resposibilities where there is an issue. Also to update the status of items on Quality Hold across all departments involved. This position reports directly to the Senior Quality Manager and will operate daily out of the Fresno, CA facility. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

What is the job about?

• Under direct supervision, conduct analysis and tests raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure conformity to specifications in a manufacturing environment.
• The Quality department is responsible to perform the SAP Q-block of suspect product requiring inspection, or the SAP S-block of product that is non-conforming.
• The coordination of inspection of the suspect product. Quality and Engineering departments shall disposition product accordingly.
• Conduct monthly inventory of blocked material in Q-Cage.
• Participation and /or Leading Material Review Board (MRB) activities, as required.
• Create and present powerpoint slides in Monthly Quality Reviews.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
• Possess a quality mindset and work accordingly.
  

What do you need to apply?

Qualified candidates will possess a good mechanical aptitude, show initiative in the absence of direction. High School Diploma, plus a minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing practices and application preferred.

• Experience driving well-defined processes with Quality.
• Basic Quality tools knowledge.
• SAP, Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Forklift driver certification.
• Ability to participate in work processes or projects.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Ability to participate in a well-defined business process within Quality.
• Ability to influence others and follow processes.
• Some experience supporting key business initiatives.
• Knowledge of best practices and relevant practices, systems in Quality.
  

The midpoint of the pay range for this position is $35.91 per hour. Actual pay will depend on skill set, experience, and location.
