The role you’ll contribute:
The Quantitative Researcher is a member of the research team. This person helps create, develop and maintain investment strategies for internal asset management. This role requires significant expertise in quantitative tools, investment strategy and a solid understanding of global economics. They will also assist the investment team in developing frameworks for analyzing external investments and risk scenarios.
The value that you bring to the team:
- Help investigate, explore, and identify tools, techniques, and metrics offering greater insight & perspective on multi asset portfolio to enhance value-add to AHS investment portfolios
- Drive and support the development of quantitative/systematic investment strategies for internal asset management
- Perform statistical analysis and prove out strategies for effective risk measurement and management
- Provide portfolio construction and asset allocation expertise to the investment team
- Develop frameworks for analyzing investment and risk scenarios
- Conduct multi-asset research studies. Analysis may focus on classes of securities, quantitative decision-making models
- Design/develop/test quantitative/analytic models to help monitor and manage portfolio risk
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or Computer Science
- 1+ years related experience in financial services industry
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree – Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of related experience in financial services industry
- Proficient with advanced statistical modelling, numerical methods
- Must have effective communication skill, work ethic, attention to detail, time management skills and accountability
- Strong programming skills (Python specifically) and experience working with data
- Quantitative investment analytic skills – advanced mathematics and computer programming
- Thorough understanding of portfolio construction and risk management methodologies
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
- Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA)
- Financial Risk Manager (FRM)
