Basic Job Functions:

• Working in collaboration with the Estimating Department and the CBC Sales Team, the Quote Engineer will create accurate, competitive and thorough quotes for metal building systems in accordance with company processes, procedures and practices.
• Provide coordination of design and fabrication solutions to ensure a competitive advantage for CBC and our Builders
• Work with the team to create safe and economical project solutions. Be aware of economic impacts of decisions based upon metal building price, erection concerns and total in-place cost of construction.
• Provide technical expertise both over the phone and face-to-face
• Provide input on “unique” scope requirements from the standpoint of business risk, product application and economical solutions.
• Periodic travel as required and expected
• Provide accurate building frame and bracing designs to meet the needs of our customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4-year Civil/Structural engineering degree and working towards PE registration
• A thorough understanding of structural engineering design philosophy

Preferences:

• 2 years Metal Building experience in Design, Detailing, Customer Service and/or Estimating
• Demonstrated leadership presence
• Proficiency at reading architectural / structural drawings and specifications
