Job description
The AmeriCorps member will focus on understanding and sharing resources, as well as offer technology support to veterans. The members could also share information about Mt. Carmel’s community wellness programs when appropriate and help with food box distribution. The AmeriCorps member will impact the lives of veterans and the people of rural Colorado. This position has three locations, Monte Vista, Glenwood Springs, and Trinidad.
Member Duties : Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Deliver food boxes • develop veteran's programs • reach out to veteran's in the community • Help veteran's get services such as food stamp's medical insurances, rental assistance ect. • Change program locations as needed. • Attend Mt. Carmel orientation and attend all trainings throughout the year. • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled meetings with supervisor for one-on-one meetings and team meetings, and bimonthly meetings with Mt Carmel staff. • Participate in any Rural Alliance for Dignity related programming and/or events, including but not limited to orientation, retreats, evaluations, and trainings.
