Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist makes radiographs of the designated portions of the patient’s body.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform high quality radiography examinations on patients of all ages, addressing and responding to their individual needs appropriately.
- Work with the Radiologist to learn and follow their preferred imaging protocols and provide them with accurate information regarding the patient’s symptoms and physical history.
- Maintain exam room, equipment and supplies in an orderly fashion so as to always be ready for the next patient.
- Possess the ability to react objectivity, using good judgment in crisis situations and specific issues.
- Maintains educations, knowledge and training required to provide up-to-date quality care to patients and to stay current on CEU requirements to include AART.
- Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Training or Degree Required:
- Graduation from an accredited school/program of Radiologic Technology
- Satisfactory completion of a clinical rotation in Radiology prior to graduation.
License/Registration/Certification Required: (will be primary source verified by HR)
- Registration with ARRT or registry eligible.
- Current CPR
Experience and Skills: (indicate preferred or required)
- Two years of experience within Radiology preferred but willing to train.
- Working knowledge of anatomy; understanding principles of physics and xray production required.
- Knowledge of Xray positioning required.
- Patient care skills required.
Additional Information:
Position will work 12:30-4:30 Mon, Tues, Wed, and Thurs. Friday 8-4:30pm.
This position is part-time (48 hours every two weeks) and eligible for all benefits. We are seeking the perfect candidate to be a part of the Dassel family!No weekends, no holidays.
