Job Overview: The RCM Practice Performance Liaison will be responsible for managing the relationships with practices and revenue cycle management (RCM), to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for all specialties. This key role facilitates communication to ensure all issues are address and resolve in a proactive manner, in accordance with standard operation practices and providing trended metrics to help identify areas that are performing well and areas that need further development/review.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for practices for revenue cycle management concerns.
  • Participate in RCM Operational Reviews with key RCM leadership to conduct comprehensive review of performance compared to goals. Present recommendations for remediation plans on any under performing areas.
  • Prepare executive and management level RCM operational/financial reporting incorporating KPIs and operational performance targets. Monitor and report on revenue cycle metrics, providing regular reports to practices.
  • Maintains a solid understanding and awareness of all key initiatives, including objectives, success measures associated timelines.
  • Understands all KPIs, and factors contributing to success or failure in meeting the performance metrics. Provides root cause analysis with supporting documentation.
  • Research issues and present potential solutions to senior leadership, and subsequently coordinate the agreed upon action plan with the appropriate RCM departments.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, including revenue cycle management, and clinical operations to identify and resolve revenue cycle issues.
  • Assist with proactively creating processes to expedite and streamline resolution issues impacting operational performance in all areas of revenue cycle operations.
  • Maintain issues log and coordinate with appropriate RCM leadership on resolution in a timely manner. Develop and monitor corrective action plans approved by RCM senior leadership.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to revenue cycle management and practice management.
  • Provide training and education to clinical and administrative staff on revenue cycle management processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and external practices.
  • Familiarity with medical billing software, including electronic health record systems and billing systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify trends and patterns in revenue cycle data.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
