POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Lead, Receiving is responsible for the on time and accurate receipt of inventory utilizing the operations in house system and is expected to continually improve the efficiency of the operation through effective use of people, systems, and equipment. This position is accountable for the development and motivation of employees to departmental objectives and company policies and procedures.
POSITION REQUIREMENTSESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct subordinates in the daily operation of receiving functions for Receiving Department.
- Must be capable of training new hires, organizing workflow, identifying priorities, and ensuring accuracy of receipts and subsequent stowage.
- Ensure compliance of employees to all corporate and departmental work policies and procedures.
- Must interface effectively with all levels of management in many diverse departments.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies and ensure all areas remain in corporate compliance.
- Monitor and establish production levels in the receiving areas of the warehouse.
- Establish and monitor employee development and cross training efforts.
- All other duties as assigned.
Years of Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in construction/manufacturing
- Related experience
Education:
- HS Diploma required
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from railroad cars, trucks, and trailers; checks against suppliers’ count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing officer per company policy.
- Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments.
- Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records for requested categories including goods returned, dunnage, and returnable pallets.
- Maintains database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments as required.
- Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
- Transports materials to assigned locations.
- Performs other clerical duties.
- Transport and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids).
- When problems arise, resolve issues with contractors or
- Validates, approves, and forwards invoices to the accounting
- Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
- Basic understanding of railway, dock, and warehouse procedures.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
Work Authorization
- All prospective Impact Housing employees need to demonstrate eligibility to work in the U.S.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward
- Must be able to lift up to 50 at a time.
Compensation:
- Competitive salary range $23.00 - $25.00 hourly depending on experience.
