As a Recovery Services Coordinator, you will work to reduce the stigma surrounding substance use disorders and provide recovery support services to a variety of local populations. Through your team, you have the opportunity to improve the lives of hundreds of local Aiken County citizens with substance use disorder.
The Recovery Services Coordinator will provide administrative and Clinical Supervision to Aiken Center’s Peer Support Specialists on the Recovery Support Team. We are looking for a person with unique lived experience in long-term recovery from an alcohol or other substance use disorder. Applicants should feel comfortable working in multiple settings including an out-patient treatment facility, medical facilities, and neighborhoods. We need you to have a flexible schedule that could potentially include some nights and weekends.
Interested applicants should possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related field
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum two years of sustained recovery demonstrated in application by active participation in recovery movement evidenced by previous volunteer service, work experience or letter from Peer Support, Sponsor, or Counselor. CPSS certification from APS.
- The ability to demonstrate recovery expertise, including knowledge of approaches to support others in recovery and dual recovery, as well as the ability to demonstrate his or her own efforts at self-directed recovery.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, time management skills, trauma-informed care knowledge, ability to multi-task and be flexible, ability to work with diverse groups of individuals and be highly motivated to deliver excellent results
- Knowledge of substance use disorders detailed in the DSM-V
- Knowledge of ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
