JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
A Recreation Attendant will assist with individual and group recreation programs.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists Recreation Department in planning and facilitating planned community events.
- Effectively promotes and represents the Fairfield Glade Community Club programs and facilities.
- Manage inventory and equipment needed for events.
- Prior to an event prepare the events trailer and collect the inventory needed for that event.
- Assist the CCC Front Desk, Mini Golf, Indoor and Outdoor Pools as needed.
- Attendance at work is an essential function of this position.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED. Some college a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
Recreation experience or a closely related field preferred
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Computer literate in Microsoft Office Software.
EQUIPMENT USED:
Computers, telephones, copier, various office equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Able to work with little supervision at times.
Fast paced environment.
COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Active listening skills and ability to articulate information both verbally and in writing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Normal speech, hearing, and vision, lifting of 50 pounds.
Ask for assistance with heavier loads.
Ability to use AED.
SAFETY:
Follow all FGCC safety programs, safety guidelines, policies and procedures. Wear, use and enforce all FGCC personal protection equipment (PPE) as needed on specific jobs and tasks.
Beware of chemical safety and be familiar with all pertinent Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) of chemicals which are used in the workplace.
Follow all FGCC safety rules including all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to work at FGCC.

Ability to plan & organizes events and activities.
Ability to evaluate and implement changes in programs.
Ability to maintain favorable public relations.
Excellent customer service skills, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, officials, and all members of the general public.
