Recruiter
Location: Weaverville, NC (100% Remote)
Compensation: The pay for this position is $21 - $22/hr. with opportunity for advancement
Position Summary: The Recruiter is responsible for performing recruiting tasks in support of federal government IT contracts as well as Epsilon's corporate staffing needs. Responsible for developing and maintaining excellent relations with candidates, hiring managers, and senior leadership.
Position Responsibilities:
- Review job descriptions and to create the most effective Boolean search criteria.
- Work with managers and the Director of Recruiting to understand hiring needs based on open positions.
- Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using Monster, Career Builder, networking, cold calls, media, and employee referrals.
- Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements and prescreen candidates.
- Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interview applicants on consistent set of qualifications; analyze responses; verify references; compare qualifications to job requirements.
- Manages and coordinate all communication with candidates, communicates manager hiring decisions, prepares offer letters, etc.
- Coordinates the scheduling and logistics of interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Prepare candidates for interviewing by providing detailed information on the company, our business strategy, department background, job descriptions, and expectation-setting of open position.
- Organize and document post-interview debrief/feedback with interview teams and follow-up with candidates.
- Assist in developing and maintaining an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire.
- Assist in maintaining applicant tracking information: candidate contact information, salary requirements, availability, certifications, position requirements, relocation, and other pertinent information crucial to placing candidate.
- Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques to be competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices.
- Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and current employees.
- Other administrative duties as assigned to support the growth and effectiveness of Epsilon's recruiting and administrative systems.
- Other work duties as assigned.
- 2+ years' experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources or similar position.
- Experience recruiting for Federal Government IT Contracts is highly desired.
- Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is highly desired.
- Must have intermediate computer skills and be able to navigate through web browsers, various databases/systems, and social media, and must be comfortable learning to navigate new systems and databases quickly.
- Previous experience with high-volume, surge recruiting or onboarding preferred
- Previous experience with recruiting responsibilities for a multi-state remote workforce preferred
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word: editing, formatting, and reworking/rewording documents (including grammar and spelling)
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook including, Calendar and Scheduling features
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Teams Application
- Must be open to a flexible work schedule, there may be some evening and weekend work on occasion.
- The successful candidate will have a creative, confident, and outgoing personality.
- Basic understanding of various types of Information Technology (Help Desk/Desktop Support, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, and/or Information Assurance) is desired.
- Ability to learn new skills, policies, and procedures quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to manage daily recruiting efforts, prioritize and multitask efficiently.
- Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office Suite and Outlook.
- Ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships with Candidates, Project/Hiring Managers and Clients.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, highly organized, and a tactful phone demeanor.
