Position: Recruiter
Overview
The Recruiter position will be responsible for the full-cycle of recruiting from sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and being part of the selection process. The Recruiter will collaborate with hiring managers on a regular basis to identify current and future needs. The Recruiter will source candidates using various sources like social media networks and employee referrals. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of HR experiences that may include employee relations, performance management, payroll, benefits administration, etc. This position reports to the HR Director.
Location Any of our major markets (South Bend, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Grand Rapids)

  • Attending/Facilitating Recruiting Fairs
  • Background Checks
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Design and Implement overall recruiting strategy
  • Assist manages in developing and updating job descriptions and specifications
  • Post jobs to appropriate job boards, education partners, etc
  • Source and recruit candidates by using databases and other sources
  • Screen candidates resumes
  • Conduct interviews
  • Assess candidates relevant knowledge, skills, experiences and aptitudes
  • Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports
  • Act as point of contact during the selection process
  • Promote company’s culture and core values
  • Run background checks and review for selection
  • Liaison with recruiting vendors and temp agencies
  • Assist with department projects to improve efficiency and customer service
  • Perform additional administrative duties as needed to support the overall function of the department
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Five (5) years of general human resources experience including a strong background in recruiting (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification highly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of employment laws, regulations and requirements – EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ERISA, Title VII, ACA
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and have exceptional time-management skills and the ability to prioritize and adaptable to an ever-changing fast-paced environment
