Start your career in Human Resources as a Recruiting Assistant for New Communities, a mission-based, nonprofit supporting seniors, and people with disabilities! We’re looking for an individual committed to the highest level of customer service with excellent communication and organizational skills. You will work in collaboration with the Recruiting Specialist to assist with the interviewing and onboarding process to help get the best person hired to support our residents and clients.
As a Recruiting Assistant you will:
- Assist with various parts of the hiring process including scheduling interviews, coordinating in person interviews, background and reference checks and onboarding.
- Assist with the management of Indeed and other recruiting platforms to make sure sponsorships are correct and reach out to passive candidates to invite them to apply.
- Maintains SharePoint & Paylocity to ensure openings are posted accurately and update new postings as necessary.
- Demonstrate customer service skills through follow-ups with candidates and hiring managers during various stages of the hiring process.
- Determine suitability of candidates based on program needs and assists Recruiting Specialist with interviews as needed.
- Follow up with non-responsive candidates to schedule interviews via email, text, and phone calls.
- Create Weekly Recruiting Meeting reports for the Recruiting Specialist and assist in presenting the reports to Division Directors.
- Effectively communicates New Communities’ mission, values, and the full range of benefits to candidates.
- Perform Human Resources administrative duties such as scanning files, mail distribution, mailing items to programs, creating marketing materials, recording Covid tests, etc.
- Position may include other duties determined by the company.
