Salary Range:
$2,715.69 - $3,807.69 Biweekly
$5,884.00 - $8,250.00 Monthly
$70,608.00 - $99,000.00 Annually
The ESPI Redeterminations unit exists to administer and direct FAMLI premiums functions by implementing procedure and policies. To direct, administer, manage, and control the FAMLI premiums by reviewing, evaluating, and ensuring compliance with reporting and premiums due to the state, which involves basic knowledge of rules, account types and determining the entitlement, legitimacy, and eligibility of business employers for the FAMLI program. To enforce compliance with state law and regulations to ensure the integrity of the FAMLI Program and the solvency of the FAMLI trust Fund. They will have oversight of all employer registrations, local government opt-outs. They are responsible for monitoring and processing all premium payments that could not be performed by the employer, as well as handling all related delinquent wage filings and payments, overpayments, underpayments, overdrafts, refunds, and other bank account related issues. The unit is also responsible for ensuring employer compliance regarding participation in FAMLI and private plans. These responsibilities will include but are not limited to, the receipt, review and approval of all private employer plans, including self funded plans and will process all bonds, payments, and refunds associated with a private plan opt out “application” from an employer. The unit will primarily conduct outbound contacts through email or the online portal, but sporadically may receive inbound triaged contacts from the Employer Contact Center.
The main responsibility of the Monetary Redeterminations unit is to verify that the base period wages stated on a Claim for FAMLI Benefits are accurate and fall under FAMLI coverage. The unit plays a crucial role in determining if the claimant has sufficient covered wages to be eligible for benefits and the amount of weekly and maximum benefits that can be provided. The unit typically conducts inquiries to determine whether the claimant's wages are eligible for FAMLI coverage and can be used to establish a claim for benefits or if the worker was misclassified as an Independent Contractor and requires wage adjustments.
Serves as an expert resource for employers, work unit, peers, staff and supervisory team by answering complex account issue questions; identify problem areas, monitor and provide input by collaboration and communication with other units and branches throughout the agency, including FAMLI Management.

Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment.
