World Oil Environmental Services is hiring Maintenance Director in Compton, CA!
Hourly pay starting at $130,000 – 150,000 shifts will be Monday - Friday day time hours
The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing the Maintenance Department and ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity at all times. This role collaborates with other departments’ directors to reach World Oil’s business objectives. The Maintenance Director should be knowledgeable in Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) regulations and standards, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and standards, and building codes and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develops and implements maintenance procedures and processes that ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance operations.
· Collaborates with other departments and their directors to ensure business objectives are met.
· Plans and coordinates all maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of equipment, systems, and facilities.
· Manages and supervises a team of maintenance technicians and contractors, including training, scheduling, and assigning tasks.
· Monitors and controls maintenance costs, including budget preparation and forecasting, purchasing, and inventory management.
· Ensures compliance with all applicable safety regulations and standards, and promoting a safe work environment.
· Develops and implements a preventive maintenance program that minimizes downtimes and extends the life of equipment and facilities.
Other Functions:
· Identifies opportunities for process and equipment improvements, working with other departments to implement changes as needed.
· Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including maintenance schedules, work orders, equipment and parts inventories, and maintenance reports.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facility management, or related field.
· 5+ years of experience in maintenance management, manufacturing, or related field.
· 3+ years of supervisory work experience, overseeing a team of two or more.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
· Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
· Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, and production.
· The skill in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
· The skill in obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex maintenance issues.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
· The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
· The abilities that influence the acquisition and application of knowledge in problem solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
· Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other maintenance-related software preferred.
· Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM), Certified Plant Maintenance Manager (CPMM), or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred.
