Job Overview:

The Regional EMS colleague is responsible for executing energy projects, vendors and issues related to the maintenance, upkeep and upgrade of the building automation, energy management, environmental, HVAC and lighting systems of the assigned area.

Geographical support area will include the Northeast part of the country with remote support for additional Regions possible.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain, upgrade, and repair EMS and building energy related systems.
• Act as single point of contact for all work within the given zone.
• Direct the work of Macy's personnel as well as specialty and recurring subcontractors.
• Ensure, in conjunction with the Regional FM Director, that the property management responsibilities and communications with store management are executed at or above stated standards.
• Initiate, direct, and monitor the performance of trade personnel.
• Communicate facility management's operating philosophy, objectives, and expectations.
• Prepare and communicate written individual goals for each direct report semi-annually and annually and review progress regularly.
• Ensure that direct reports are attaining their individual goals.
• Review and submit operations and maintenance capital expenditures requests and approvals for assigned facilities to the Macy's capital project manager.
• Work directly with project manager obtaining estimates, coordinating contractors, and overseeing projects through completion.
• Monitor purchases of direct reports assuring that purchasing procedures are followed and that approved vendors and supply partners are used
• Track and monitor preventive maintenance, repair work orders, and purchase orders are completed in a timely and complete manner.
• Plan, implement, and control operating budgets with area director assistance, for the area of responsibility.
• Available to be in the on-call rotation and when needed for emergencies in facilities.
• Perform other FM related duties as needed

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Minimum of two year Associate of Applied Science Degree from an Accredited College University in an Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science or other related building trade
• Past work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
• Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
• May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping and color vision
• Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions
• Frequently lift/move up to 30lbs
