The Regional Project Manager supports our culture by developing a strategic plan that: creates a store environment which provides a superior sales and customer experience; executes visual merchandising direction; and networks, recruits, develops and retains a strong selling team. To support all activities required to achieve goals, including sales and profit objectives, client service, human capital investment and retention, payroll and operating expenses, loss prevention, and merchandise presentation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Supports the development of Store Managers to accomplish district(s) objectives through recruitment, selection, coaching, investment, career -pathing, retention, and motivation.

Meets or exceeds company client service objectives with emphasis on store management
coaching and follow-up

Acts as the liaison between stores and home office

Helps set priorities and direction for district

Understands our culture, and ensures compliance with all Values & Behaviors, and store operational standards

Additional responsibilities, tasks or projects as assigned by SVP of Stores or Home Office

Store Projects with peer influence at the Dm level and indirect supervisory responsibility to the SM level

Works with SVP and RVPs to assess and identify store locations needing additional support

Provides strong networking and recruiting assistance to the store’s organization.

Assists in the interviewing, hiring, training, development and on boarding of new and existing store managers

Provides elevated visual and operating support for priority locations across the region, in partnership with Regional Visual Manager

Develops correct operational procedures that will create a platform to launch and contribute to the success of Building Enduring Relationships

Provides feedback and coaching to store teams aimed at improving their overall brand execution

Partners with field leadership and is instrumental in the store opening and renovation process

Acts as an interim manager in open stores as needed

Provides leadership during Store Opening and Closing projects in close partnership with Store Operations, Maintenance and Construction.

Ensures client service standards are learned, and role modeled

Adheres to Human Resources standards by following the general practices outlined, minimizing exceptions, and remaining objective

Recruits, selects, hires, and develops diverse management level talent for district(s)

Assesses, develops, educates, and mentors store management in all areas of responsibility, ensuring that feedback, coaching, and investment are regularly provided

Provides learning to management teams to maximize store and associate performance; shares
knowledge, information, and experience

Provides timely feedback to associates, rewarding and recognizing desired behaviors

Holds associates accountable for achievement of financial results and statistical standards

Manages conflict and coaches associates to move them forward by applying recommended processes, standards, and guidelines

Makes timely, ethical, and logical decisions after complete discovery and analysis

Assesses associates and store teams consistently; evaluates stores’ atmosphere and
communicates associate performance and deliverables

Empowers and involves associates in decision-making processes while providing guidance

Capitalizes on individual's strengths and talents to optimize team performance

Is receptive to feedback and fosters dialogue around solutions, realistically appraising self on
strengths and weaknesses; owns mistakes and is aware of limitations

Fosters team commitment through support, building relationships, and recognizing individual
contributions; fosters cross-divisional and cross-functional relationships

Leads by taking calculated risks and managing through change and adversity

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Human Resources: Proven ability to network and maintain talent pool for recruitment; select and develop Store and/or Area Management teams; develop bench strength; coach and counsel;
persuasively argue point of view without losing objectivity
Client Service: Ability to function as a role model during all store visits, ensuring that the client remains the top priority; ability to respond empathetically to client’s needs
Organization: Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize, meet deadlines, hold team accountable and follow-up on all activities within the district
Leadership: Proven ability to challenge and motivate management teams in an atmosphere of mutual respect by fostering support of innovative business practices
Merchandising: Knowledge of visual standards and techniques; ability to implement and interpret according to ANN INC.’s guidelines, individualizing to store attributes
Communication: Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication skills to Home Office and direct reports; ability to express and logically articulate point of view while
reinforcing company initiatives
Business analysis: Ability to forecast and analyze business trends and function within payroll, shortage and controllable expenses in order to maximize district(s) performance and
profitability
Market knowledge: Ability to assess market, share information with team, and translate understanding to impact district(s) business

Requires a minimum of 2 years of multi store retail management or related industry experience. Specialty retailing experience preferred.

Work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the business including opening/closing shifts as well as weekends, holidays, and nights.

Requires ability to move about in a store including standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders, using stairs, carrying, bending, stretching, twisting, or reaching out with the body, arms, or legs, pulling and lifting objects up to 25 pounds. Sometimes these movements are made quickly and repeatedly.

Ability to navigate computer systems with intermediate computer and keyboarding skills.

Ability to build strong relationships, both inside and outside of the organization

Flexible to frequent travel.

The target salary for this role is $90,000 - $94,000.

Actual compensation within that range is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and other job-related factors.
