REGIONAL MANAGER, VISUAL MERCHANDISING/STORE DESIGN

As the RVM you will be a strategic partner to the Director of Visual Merchandising and Design for 1915 South, and will be responsible to drive customer experience, sales, and brand loyalty through the consistent execution of the in-store visual and merchandising presentation. You will be the center of excellence for space planning, style, and trend presentations, and will influence the stores’ visual team to interpret and implement direction provided through cooperation with Ashely Corporate standards and those developed at 1915 South. The RVM will directly train, supervise, and develop Visual Merchandisers in their region of locations, including conducting performance reviews to ensure all directives and concepts are executed to standard. Regional Visual Managers will oversee visual execution and will coach, train, and provide feedback to store colleagues to implement and maintain Ashley’s brand standards and visual merchandising initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Cleary communicate Visual Merchandising initiatives and Ashley’s strategic priorities to regional store teams ensuring consistency of execution and presentation across all stores.
  • Participate in Merchandising Team planning/project meetings and serve as a key resource to the team and Store Managers to determine visual and merchandising opportunities to increase sales.
  • Provide Leadership and feedback to store teams on Visual Merchandising principles such as proper furniture placement and accessorization, enhanced presentation techniques and best use of products, to elevate store customer shopping experience.
  • Provide monthly product transition packets to each location in the region complete with a CAD floor plan.
  • Lead individual store and region-wide training sessions both in person and virtually.
  • Conduct ongoing review of direct reports through store visits and virtual meetings.
  • Build, manage, and create a team of Visual Merchandisers to execute timely, consistent, and elevated product displays.
  • Provide feedback to Store managers about store condition and presentation to ensure the store team is working together to provide a great experience for every customer, every time.
  • Work with the Merchandising team to develop and communicate new standards and ensure execution across all stores.

Qualifications And Competencies

  • A minimum of 3 years of visual merchandising or design related experience
  • Education/Experience: A minimum of 5 years of visual merchandising or design related experience.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and interpret instruction documents such as reports and procedure manuals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mathematical Skills: Understanding of retail reporting.
  • Reasoning Ability: Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to effectively plan and execute strategies.
  • Physical Demands: This position involves regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking. May occasionally involve lifting, stooping, kneeling, climbing step ladders or crouching. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.
  • Technology: Understanding of computer functions such as word, excel, Power Point, and CAD
  • Other skills: Strong leadership profile and excellent negotiation and influence skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build partnerships and direct teams. Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Work Hours: Ability to work a flexible schedule based on store/company needs but usually a Mon-Friday 9-6 week.
  • Travel: Ability to commute to store locations throughout the company locations when needed throughout the SE and the Region of responsibility:
