Unit Description:
Sodexo is seeking a Fulltime Registered Dietitian for Bethany Village in Mechanicsburg, PA. This continuing care retirement community offers several levels of care, including assisted living, skilled nursing, memory support, and rehabilitation therapy. This dietitian will provide clinical care to our residents in skilled nursing, in addition to providing educational programs to our residents in Independent Living.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Registered Dietitian will:
Employees who work in Healthcare and Seniors are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a term and condition of employment, absent a legally required exception, and are required to report their vaccination status as required by applicable law and/or client requirements.

This dietitian will provide clinical care to our residents in skilled nursing, in addition to providing educational programs to our residents in Independent Living.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Registered Dietitian will:
- Provide nutritional care to residents in skilled nursing;
- Complete Independent Living and Assisted Living consultations;
- Conduct educational sessions, seminars, and sampling events to residents in Independent Living;
- Demonstrate skills in establishing and maintaining standards of care;
- Participate in test trays, food service audits, and patient satisfaction; and/or
- Interact with medical staff and nursing on a regular basis.
Is this opportunity right for you? The ideal candidate will have/be:
- A Registered Dietitian with PA state licensure;
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities;
- Experience with the Nutrition Care Process and recent experience with electronic charting;
- A strong leader and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
- The ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment; and/or
- Excellent interpersonal skills to make every day a better day for our clients and residents.

Key Duties
- Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
- Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
- Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
- Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..
Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
