Overview:
Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Nursing Float Pool at our M Health Fairview Lakes Medical Center location in Wyoming , MN .

Our Critical Care Float Pool currently consists of a strong team of dedicated nurses who are trained to provide exceptional family-centered care throughout several units in the hospital. Each nurse is required to have a minimum of three areas in which they will be trained to float to: MS, ICU, and ED.

Schedule:
This position will be working 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours on the day/night shift. This position will also work a rotation for every 3rd weekend.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
As a Critical Care Float Pool RN, you will be responsible for:
  • Assessing patient needs and identifying expected nursing outcomes;
  • Developing an individualized nursing plan of care;
  • Implementing interventions as needed during treatment based on the plan of care;
  • Evaluating care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes;
  • Using communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes;
  • Coordinating care with members of the health care team and delegating responsibilities to others as appropriate;
  • Demonstrating the ability to advance care by applying standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes;
  • Promoting a culture of evidence based practice (EBP) by participating in a multitude of available opportunities; and
  • Performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
  • Current MN RN Licensure in good standing
  • Minimum of one year previous Emergency Department or Critical Care RN experience
  • Minimum of one year previous Med/Surg RN experience
  • BLS certification for a healthcare providers
  • ACLS, by end of orientation
  • TNCC within 1 year and/or successful completion of approved trauma training program within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN or BAN degree
  • CCRN
