Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Surgical Services

• 
  4 Operating Rooms
• 3 Endoscopy Procedure Rooms
• Off Site Surgery Center
• Supportive, nurturing and caring culture that fosters teamwork and excellent practice
• Looking to expand our service lines in the near future to include robotics
• Just under 70 staff members

What will you be doing?

• Obtains a complete nursing assessment on all patients.
• Responsible for ongoing clinical management of the patient, promotes and participates in patient education and teaching and administers medications, and IV therapy, and performs venipunctures.
• Promotes cost containment while delivering quality patient care within the surgical services department.
• Maintains accurate and legible documentation to ensure accountability for assessments and patient plan of care and accurate patient charging.
• Pursues own professional growth through continuing education and in-services and provides leadership.
• Communicates effectively and professionally with peers, supervisors, ancillary departments and all other external/internal customers.
• Demonstrates flexibility to perform other functions within Surgical Services and procedural areas to assist in the smooth operation of the departments and maintain competencies as appropriate.
• Adheres to hospital policies and procedures; supports the mission of the hospital.

What qualifications you will need:

• 
  Experience in an acute care facility or similar clinical area
• RN – Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices or holds active compact state licensure

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
