Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab – PRN, Days

Progressive Cardiac Cath Lab department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work hours: PRN/per diem, PRN II, Minimum requirement: 3 shift per 6-week schedule; 1 weekend shift per six-week schedule, 1 major/1minor holiday shift

Here’s What You Need

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
• BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
• 1-year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• Minimum 1-year Cath Lab/EP Lab experience
• RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
• The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs.
• The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will

• demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
• maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
• possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
• have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

What You Will Do

• Circulating RN + scrub and documentation role, administer moderate sedation for Cardiac, Peripheral Electrophysiology cases and Device Implants
• Taking STEMI call for myocardial infarctions
• Role is dependent on experience, but RNs start out in Circulating Role prior to learning other roles
• Experience with structural heart, TAVR, Watchman and Mitroclip preferred
• Patient population consists of adult patients with Cardiac, Structural Heart, Peripheral Vascular and Electrophysiology related disease
