Avera is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the Nursing Process to provide nursing care for the patient throughout their life span.
• The nurse assumes responsibility for the outcome of nursing care delivered on their shift.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.

Education and/or Experience

• Graduate from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One year general nursing experience preferred but not required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Current license to practice in the state of South Dakota.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), and TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation) x1.

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday, occasional weekend/holiday/call; 72hours 2 weeks
  • Call holiday rotation
  • One day a week and every 4th weekend of call

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $30.50 - $45.25 per hour
