Respiratory Therapist

Our NW Colorado hospital client is looking for a Respiratory Therapist.

Location: Near Craig/Steamboat Springs Colorado (home of world famous ski resort)

This is a full time, permanent position

Salary: $30-$44 hr depending on experience - Relocation assistance: Yes

Shift; Days, 3/12's

Responsible for daily patient assignments and work performed on each assigned shift. Performs a variety of cardiopulmonary therapeutic procedures in the treatment and diagnosis of patients with respiratory and cardiac problems. Performs all assigned therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as ordered by a physician including, but not limited to: Oxygen therapy including daily oxygen rounds, pulse oximetry monitoring to determine oxygen titration needs. Bronchodilator therapy including protocols and patient assessment. Must be able to set up, manage monitor and trouble shoot all aspects of running an invasive and non invasive ventilator. Provide therapeutic and diagnostic procedures in the nursery including, but not limited to oxygen hood, nasal CPAP and ventilator management. Performs spirometry and stress testing. Performs EKG, holter and event monitoring. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of approved Respiratory Care Program
• Must be Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist with the NRC certification, this can be completed within 6 months of hire.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS- current certification.
