Role: Accounting Manager (could be Senior for the right candidate depending on experience)
Location: REMOTE
Reports to: Assistant Controller
Team Size: 3-4 with 2 direct reports
Candidate should be a self-starter that thrives in building processes and policies, applying technical accounting principles throughout a changing and undefined business environment in a hybrid role. Able to work independently in a dynamic and open team environment. The role expands scope and responsibility for a candidate that embraces our agile culture and has the desire to learn and grow.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and lead diverse and global team of accountants
- Responsible for Corporate related activities including US GAAP close activities, forecast, analysis and compliance
- Manage US GAAP consolidation process and statutory reporting responsibilities carried out by the team
- Oversee and review key global accounting processes including warranty, revenue recognition and leases
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and processes
- Leveraging technology to improve efficiencies and drive improvements
- Identify and research issues independently to develop innovative and scalable solutions through implementation; leverage lessons learned for identification
- Ad-hoc analysis and projects; at times in a compressed time environment
- Investigate, provide direction and facilitate resolution on accounting issues
- Collaborate and provide guidance on new transactions
- Ability to build strong relationships with diverse global teams

• Technical
o Solid working knowledge of:
- Understands/interprets financial statements and US GAAP
- SOX / 404 compliance
- Global close processes
- Master data
o Proficient on MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.
o Solid working knowledge on major ERP and consolidation systems, such as Oracle, SAP, BPC, Anaplan, Tableau or related applications in a manufacturing and services environment preferred
o Solid written and oral communications skills
o Experience managing schedule/timelines
Experience
o Combination of 6+ years of relevant work experience
o Deep knowledge of close cycle accounting, US GAAP and SOX compliance
o Demonstrated experience in accounting roles with growing responsibilities, particularly a combination of public and corporate accounting
o Process oriented, organized, ability to prioritize and detail oriented
o Financial system experience, especially major ERP, preferred
o Big 4 accounting firm and/or multi-national experience, preferred
o Manufacturing and/or services experience, preferred

o BS/BA degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
o CPA, preferred
