Services for Product Engineering and Enterprise Delivery (SPEED) provides USCIS with Development, Security & Operations (DevSecOps) teams focused on user design, development, IT operations and security. As an Automated Test Engineer, you will work and learn with an experienced software development team analyzing and creating processes and experiments to test the functionality and performance of case management solutions. During development, you will ensure the highest quality deliverables. You will write test cases from system and integration level tests to evaluate functional requirements. These tests will need to be run in an automated CI/CD pipeline, following DevSecOps best practices, so knowledge and experience with automated testing is required.

• Contribute to the agile process through story development, backlog refinement, and responding to ad-hoc changes to customer priorities.
• Perform as part of an agile team, utilizing Kanban and Scrum best practices, collaborating frequently with team members.
• Write test cases and test scenarios based on the acceptance criteria defined for the user story.
• Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
• Produce automated testing solutions, ensuring code can be adequately and consistently tested, satisfies requirements, and is of the highest quality.
• Execute testing on both web front end and back-end systems.
• Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct.
• Automate integration and system tests and monitor the code buildability to meet those test requirements.
• Perform test validations at various levels including database validation, logging validation, and user interface validation.
• Work with the agile team members to design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software.
• Inform team leads and other designated management officials of the results of testing activities.
• Document and report the results of testing activities.
• Additional responsiblities as assigned.

• BS Degree and 5 to 7 years’ experience or MS degree with 3 to 5 years’ experience or a high school diploma/equivalent with minimum 12 years’ experience
• 3 – 7+ years of software testing experience.
• Experience with automated testing.
• Strong communications skills with demonstrated ability to explain technical issues clearly and accurately to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team with adjusting priorities and deadlines.
• US Citizenship and existing or ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

• Experience with DevSecOps best practices and CI/CD pipeline tools.
• Experience as a solutions tester with increasing testing responsibilities.
• 508 Compliance Testing.
• Hands-on experience with any of the following technologies: QTP, UFT, Selenium, Cucumber, SQL.
• Prior working experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Acceptance Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases.
• Pervasive, Oracle experience.
• Experience with the following technologies: .NET core; Node.js; Angular JS; HTML 5; Bootstrap.
• GitHub, JIRA experience.
• Experience working in an Agile team.
