About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to join the Faculty of Health, Social Care & Medicine to contribute to the knowledge of how NHS practitioners may support nursing students' mental health and wellbeing when in clinical practice. You will work with academics, and undertake data collection and analysis for a project, ascertaining the impact of the 'making every contact count' intervention upon nursing students experience of being in clinical practice. There is also opportunity to network within the University and with NHS trusts and staff and students to complete this project.

About You

AsResearch Assistant, you will:

  • Be able to communicate to a wide audience, to enable recruitment, interviewing and completion of the research project
  • Be able to undertake interviews/focus group data collection, following a pre-set itinerary
  • Have experience in data analysis
  • Have experience in report writing
  • Be an approachable and interpersonal self-starter
  • Have good attention to detail

It is important to note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and that this will form part of the conditions of offer of employment.
